Providing Personal Care for a Person Living with Dementia

Personal Care routines such as showering or using the toilet are private personal activities. When a person with dementia requires assistance with these activities this can be daunting and may lead to changes in behaviour.
 
A person with dementia needs to be consulted and included when others tend to their care needs. This helpsheet provides an understanding and practical approaches on how to plan and include a person with dementia in their personal care.
