Dementia Support Australia provides advice and recommendations to people who care for someone with dementia where behaviours are impacting their care
We understand care home staff and family carers might be concerned about the level of access to Dementia Support Australia (DSA) services during the current pandemic.
All DSA services are deemed by the Department of Health as ‘professional services’ and are able to continue to provide much needed support, both within care home and family home environments.
Online telehealth consultations are also available via our video conferencing platform.
Nationally, DSA provides:
Supports staff and carers with client focused information, assessment and advice
A responisve mobile workforce available to provide timely expertise and advice to residential staff and carers
Nationally consistent assessment for eligibility for the Specialist Dementia Care Program
Dementia Support Australia is a free nationwide service offering 24 hour help, 365 days a year.
